Do you know Little Miss Sunshine? I do, and quite frankly, I love her.

Some of my friends are Eeyores, moaning and groaning about this or that, or this and that. I too, tend to exist on that end of the spectrum. But after a little time with my friend Little Miss Sunshine, I can be found humming a different tune. LMS is always doing something utterly fabulous – whether it’s jet-setting around the world to raise funds for an orphanage in Kenya or meeting with Lady Gaga for tea – and she always looks 100% glamorous while doing so. And although she’s had tragedies in her life, like the Queen, she always chooses to “keep calm and carry on,” all the while smiling her gorgeous, infectious smile.

I’ve been reading the Book of Awesome by Neil Pasricha in small daily doses (in the bathroom, if you must know) and LOVE it. Catching a whiff of bakery air (#909), finding a twenty dollar bill in your pocket (#995), and my personal favorite, when someone’s leaving the bathroom at the same time as you so you don’t have to touch the door (#404) – small bits of awesome are everywhere.

Maybe we could all use a little more sunshine. And a little more Awesome.
